The ICAA FL Chapter is delighted to offer this unique opportunity to shed light on collaborations within our own membership, many of which are past Addison Mizner Award Recipients, as we announce our 12th annual Addison Mizner Award Call for Entries.
As moderated by Mitch Owens, our three lecture panels, all of which have a history of design collaboration, will discuss the creative process across the professions of architecture, interior design, and landscape. They will highlight their Addison Mizner Award winning projects and others, and talk about their collaborations over the years through engaging conversation and imagery.

Marieanne Khoury-Vogt & Erik VogtKhoury & Vogt Architects, Town Architects of Alys Beach
Khoury & Vogt Architects was formed in 2001 in Miami by Erik Vogt and Marieanne Khoury as a practice in architecture and interior design, urban design, and town planning. Vogt received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Miami and Master of Architecture from Yale University. Khoury received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Wisconsin (after studying for 3 years at L’Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris, France) and has a Master of Architecture and Master of Urban Planning from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. Both are licensed architects in Florida.
The practice, currently based in Alys Beach, FL., engages projects of a variety of scales, programs, and locales. Each is linked by a common purpose: to contribute to, and elaborate a worthwhile and memorable public realm. This is pursued through a firm grounding in local architectural traditions as well as the deployment and transformation of durable building types.
Their work has received numerous regional and national awards as well as publication in several books and magazines.
In addition to professional practice, Erik Vogt has taught Architectural Design Studios at the undergraduate and graduate level, at the University of Miami and Yale University.
Khoury Vogt has been members of the ICAA almost since they began their practice in 2001, and have been mentored by its members in their early careers. They have been awarded the Addison Mizner Award four times over the years for individual design projects. In 2023, they were honored with the Arthur Ross Award for the body of our work and its contribution to the practice of classical architecture. Their involvement continues to this day with individual participation on state and regional ICAA chapters and juries, specifically the McKim, Mead and White award through the NY Chapter and the Jacques Benedict award through the Rocky Mountain chapter.
