Christian Sottile presents 635 King Street, a new traditional development whose 500-plus architectural elements - wrought iron, carved stone, sculpted terra cotta - are being produced by students at @acba_charleston. Brian R. Turner, President and CEO of the @preservationsociety, follows on how new construction, additions and infill are handled inside the historic district his organization helped establish in 1931.

A Humanist interpretation of composition, proportion, form, light and tone can be considered to begin with our anatomy; almost all treatises beginning with Vitruvius reference the parallel between pleasing design and the idealized human form. Instructed by Lizzi Connaugton, this workshop will lead participants through various exercises, working with a live model in short and long poses.

The Florida Chapter is excited to support scholarship opportunities for Florida-based students and young professionals to attend the 2026 Regional Intensive in Classical Architecture at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island.
This year’s Intensive in Classical Architecture: Newport will take place July 25 – August 1, 2026, and offers an immersive experience in classical architecture, design, drawing, and historic preservation alongside leading professionals and educators in the field.
The program is eligible for continuing education credit:
• 64 credits toward the ICAA Certificate in Classical Architecture
• 60 AIA CES Learning Units Elective
• 4 Learning Units HSW
