Victor Dover, founding principal at Dover, Kohl & Partners Town Planning, has been part of the New Urbanism movement since 1987. He is co-author of the book Street Design: The Secret to Great Cities and Towns. For nearly four decades, Dover has been designing walkable, sustainable development. Dover, Kohl & Partners devised the plan for the neighborhood of Glenwood Park in Atlanta, Georgia, new codes for Kingston, New York, and regional plans including Plan El Paso, hailed as “America’s Best Smart Growth Plan,” among many other projects. Dover was recognized with the John Nolen Medal for Contributions to Urbanism (2010), the Seaside Prize (2024) and the ICAA Florida Addison Mizner Medal for Service (2025).
Victor is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Miami School of Architecture.
